Fashion Fights Poverty

Who really needs an excuse to get dressed up, drink cocktails, and see new designers? Last night, in the middle of a huge DC rainstorm, the annual Fashion Fights Poverty fundraiser was held at the Carnegie Library. I gathered up a few classmates and friends to enjoy the show. Not sure what to expect from my first runway show, I certainly wasn't let down! Google the event for some fantastic photos and interesting information about the background work :)

Poppy in DC!

I got my Poppy in DC! Only happens once in awhile, so we made a grand weekend of it. We had sushi, wine, ran around in the rain, watched movies, lazed outside, brunched at a Eurocafe, walked through Georgetown, and made new friends. It's a comforting thought to know she's back on this coast; now I just need to make it to NY! Luckily my schedule is only a mess for another few weeks. Yay!

Hoooooooosiers! First Down!

This week Zach and I flew out to Indiana for the Indiana-Minnesota football game. I had a blast watching Annie do her band thing and enjoying a great game at the same time. We went to one of the tailgates, saw the game, and soaked up hot fall sun.

By the end of the game (which Indiana rocked!), we were hot and sticky. But after a shower and a nap, we were revived enough for a great sushi dinner.

We took it easy and ordered "Baked" -- a fresh, hot cookie delivery service -- to keep us entertained while we watched the classic, "Spaceballs."
