Home for Thanksgiving

This year is my parents' 30th wedding anniversary, so despite their request NOT to have a party, we invited over several couples that have been family friends for almost as long as I can remember if not more! We hosted a dinner for them all, in the theme of "Falling in love..."

While everyone was home for Thanksgiving, we also had a chance to go see my grandmother. She'd just moved into an assisted living home, and it was the first time that all of us had the chance to see what it is like. I think she's a bit lonely, but it was a very friendly, open place.

After all that, we had a quiet Thanksgiving at home with just us. It was nice to have some time to just enjoy being at the new house.
