Done!

I'm 3/4 done with grad school :) Just turned my last paper! No more assignments, projects, or papers till January! Tomorrow I'll be heading home and stopping along the way to see a bunch of friends from Princeton. Then I'm driving out to Ohio to see an old friend from my year in Germany, before a whole week at home with the family. It's been very wintery already, so I'm hoping to hit a mountain at some point with a sibling or more before the week's out. Then most of the fam is flying out to Arizona for the Insight Bowl...Indiana's playing Oklahoma on NYE! By the 3rd I'll be back in DC. I'll be organizing everything for the start of my last semester and prepping for surgery, which will be on the 10th of Jan. Send lovin'

U-Liners

Tonight one of my coworker's had a cd release party at Iota in Virginia for her band, the U-Liners. Ever faithful, Robyn and I made our way through the December cold and almost outlasted the band itself!

They started with a bunch of older music, but then the U-Liners switched to the new music off their new release! They play a sort of bluegrass/folk music that I find particularly fun to listen to. And, of course, Robyn and I danced the night away!

Bucket O'Fun Night!

Last night Emmeli made dinner up at her house, and what was supposed to be a quiet night in turned into a funny night with friends! E, her sister and I went down the hill to the Monkey House for Bucket O'Fun Night. If you want to know what made the bucket fun....email me :)

A few other friends from around the district joined us, and we made a big night of it. There were many stories told, a few games played, and before we knew it the bucket was empty. Emmeli and company headed out toward Chinatown for more fun, music and dancing, but it was past my bedtime -- especially so close to the semester's end!
