So this is grad school.
Grad School, eh? Entirely what I expected, yet completely different too. We're well into the semester now, so there's no more pretending like there isn't always work to be done. Or more precisely more reading to be read. All of my courses are pretty good, even Spanish at 8:15 a.m. (who said being a grad student was actually as laid back as being an undergrad??!) and the people who I am in the program with are very entertaining and enjoy going out. We've also started a great tradition, and by that I mean this weekend and last, of having Sunday brunch with those of us who leave nearby. It's a great way to start the day, especially since we seem to all be going out till late on Saturday night! I'm also very very relieved/happy that Jess and I are getting along so well. I really do prefer living with other people most of the time, so yay! We also made this crazy tasty pesto the other night. Alright, time to get the rest of a book on WWI read, so that by the time Miss Jessie from Princeton comes down next weekend, I will be more than ready to catch up and explore D.C.
