A visit from Annie!

What an great weekend! Annie came down from MA on Wednesday for a visit pre-college-move-in, which is not something that is done all that frequently, and thus, the weekend was all the more fun and exciting. On Wednesday we went to Pine Creek, a mini golf course that is groomed like a traditional course, and then -- slowed down by the sticky heat -- we decided to go out for dinner at Teresa's, where Annie has a more than natural obsession with the chocolate dessert pizza :) Thursday was a delight as well, particularly because my econ class was cancelled and I was able to spend that time with Annie. We went shopping and picked up Chinese take out, and then we went to "Little Shop of Horrors" here on campus. The show was simply wonderful and had us laughing and captivated from the start. Friday was a long day: Annie dyed her hair "raspberry" blue, which took most of the afternoon. Then we went into NYC, where Zach met us. We dropped our things off at his apartment down by St. Mark's Place and went over to the Blue Note where we were comped tix to see the Clark Terry Big Band. It was a brilliant show! And afterward, we were introduced to the band and its many great musicians. On Saturday we went to the MOMA, which always has great things on display. The current special exhibit is on Dadaism. Afterward, Zach had to work; Annie hung out with a friend in the city; and I worked on some economics reading. That night Ann had a wonderful summer apartment party with friends of hers from high school, Princeton and work. Around midnight, I went over to Avatar to pick Zach up from work, and because it was quiet in the studios, Zach was able to show me around. It was amazing! I don't know entirely what I expected it all to look like, but this reminded me in many ways of a crazy wood paneled sauna. Today I got up on the early end of the day for a fantastic brunch with Josh up at Sarabeth's on the upper west side. The food was very good, and the company was even better. Back at Zach's, we spent the afternoon watching season one of Little Britain (which you should go rent, if you haven't seen already!). I had to come back to Princeton to work on packing for my big move, but Zach and Annie are certainly still entertaining each other...especially when one of them has electric blue hair!!
